Delaware Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Celebration Kickoff Ceremony - Willingtown Square - 505 North Market Street, Wilmington - The Delaware Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission and the Delaware Public Archives recognized the 160th anniversary of Lincoln's only known visit to the First State with the unveiling of a state historical marker commemorating Lincoln's appearance before a meeting of political leaders in Wilmington on June 10, 1848.
Lincoln Bicentennial Dinner - Chase Riverfront Center in Wilmington - The Delaware Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission held the Delaware Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Dinner. This event featured an exhibit including a carriage used by Lincoln during his first inauguration. and items from the University of Delaware's Lincoln Collection. Lincoln Club member Justin Carisio moderated a discussion on "The Legacy of Abraham Lincoln in the 21st Century" with Rhode Island Chief Justice Frank J. Williams, founding chairman of The Lincoln Forum, and Harold Holzer, Co-Chair of the United States Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission

Lincoln presenter Jim Rubin visited the Delaware Technical & Community College in Georgetown to speak and participate in an open forum with students, faculty and the public.
