Delaware Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission

Lincoln Bicentennial

February 12, 2009, is the bicentennial of the birth of Abraham Lincoln, who is ranked our greatest President in survey after survey of historians, political scientists, and the public. A two-year bicentennial commemoration of Mr. Lincoln's life and legacy began in February of 2008 in Kentucky with a "Lincoln on Leadership" symposium and a dramatic presentation about his life. Programs and events will follow in our nation's capital, in Delaware and across the country as a result of planning by the United States Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission, the Delaware Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission, and individual state commissions. There are many reasons why. Learn more.
